December 23, 2017April 10, 2020Channell C. WalkerLeave a comment

Conditional Release is a way to control access to certain sections or resources in the course. This prevents students from jumping around or moving ahead and releases the content when you, the instructor, are ready. This is helpful when the sequence of the sections are important. Or if you have an answer key to a quiz that you do not want to be seen before the students have taken the quiz.

Feature Settings

  1. In your course, Turn Editing On.
  2. Find the section you want to edit and click on the gear icon. This opens the settings.
  3. Once in settings, scroll down to the Restrict Access section and click on the “Add Restriction” button.
  4. A pop-up window will appear with restriction options:
    • Activity Completion
    • Date
    • Grade
    • Time Required
